Michael Peterson
Director & Producer
Michael Peterson is an award winning writer, producer and director. He has directed commercials, documentaries, TV (Caution: May Contain Nuts, Tiny Plastic Men) and the feature films Lloyd the Conqueror (2011) and Knuckleball (2018).
Recently, a career highlight, when he was nominated for the 2022 CMPA Indiescreen Established Producer Award which was awarded at the Whistler Film Festival. His recent producing credits include over a dozen feature films including the Fantastic Fest Closing Night Film, BLOODTHIRSTY (2020), and HARPOON (2019), the latter of which premiered at Rotterdam International Film Festival and was rated one of the top horror films of the decade on Rotten Tomatoes. He is currently in post-production on the horror-wrestling feature, DARK MATCH, and 80's set coming-of-age film THIS TOO SHALL PASS. He has a Masters in Arts from UNC-Chapel Hill, and participated in the 2013 CFC Directors Lab. He resides in Calgary, Canada.
